Memorandum of Understanding between SPREP and a Country, to facilitate the access to, and security of, all data entered into the national database.

Raster data representing the mean levels of calcite in µmol/m3 for the surface water layer. The data are available for global-scale applications at a spatial resolution of 5 arcmin (approximately 9.2 km at the equator).

Marine data layers for present conditions were produced with climate data describing monthly averages for the period 2000–2014, obtained from pre-processed global ocean re-analyses combining satellite and in situ observations at regular two- and three-dimensional spatial grids.

Raster data representing the mean levels of current velocities in meters/second for the surface water layer. The data are available for global-scale applications at a spatial resolution of 5 arcmin (approximately 9.2 km at the equator).

CSV file containing the global distribution of hydrothermal vent fields in WGS84 coordinate system.

This is a template that can be used when creating a State of Environment report, and sections can be added or adapted to fit a country’s needs.

SPREPs recommended template for individual indicators in national SoE reports. The full SoE template will be updated in the coming months.

Each value represents the number of dumping events observed on fishing vessels during the period 2003-2015

Solomon Islands Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources

On 2 April 2007, a large earthquake and tsunami hit the western Solomon Islands causing varying degrees of damage and disruption to coastal communities. This assessment is focused on immediate damage to and needs of the coastal fisheries, including environment and infrastructure, though the opportunity was taken to assess more general damage and threats to the long term, sustainable recovery of coastal fisheries.
