The Environmental Data Portal provides an easy way to find, access and reuse national data. Our main purpose is to provide easy access and safe storage for Environmental datasets to be used for monitoring, evaluating, and analysing environmental conditions and trends to support environmental planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements at all levels. We encourage you to use publicly available government data to analyse and develop tools and applications to benefit all citizens. The database can be used to store and access any data type including tables (excel) documents (word and PDF), GIS files (.shp, .tab) and any other file type including non-environmental datasets.

National Reporting

The Solomon Islands uses data for regular national reporting as well as reporting to multilateral environmental agreements. These State of Environment Reports (SoE) examines major drivers of change to the environment that emerge from global, regional and national factors. They evaluate the main environmental pressures created by these drivers, and examines their environmental impact. The SoE also gives actionable recommendations as a nation to improve the environment for sustainable growth.
